SIX! (five...four...three...)

Summer time...

Endless Summer Kids, hibernation is OVER, our high season is finally here!!! While Old King Neptune continues to hold back on providing us with some swell, Mother Nature is giving us one of the best Memorial Day Weekends in recent years:

Sunrise Forecast High UV Index Hightide Lowtide Wind Waves Sunset
Friday 5:37 Mostly sunny 81 9 5:27pm 11:05am South 15mph 3.0 foot choppy 8:15
Saturday 5:37 Partly cloudy 79 9 6:10pm 11:47am South 15mph 2.0 foot   choppy 8:16
Sunday 5:36 Partly cloudy 79 9 6:52pm 12:28pm South   13mph 2.5 foot choppy 8:17
Monday 5:36 Sunny 80 9 7:32pm 1:07pm Southwest 8mph 2.5 foot semi-clean 8:17

I’m also happy to report the Ocean water temperature is a refreshing 65 degrees, the bay is even warmer and the boat is in the water. Get down safely and get liberal with the STL (suntan lotion), I can’t wait to see all your pale faces this Saturday at the XBA postgame BBQ! ….or Saturday night at Whitebriar…or Sunday at 39th St. beach…or Sunday afternoon and Golden Inn Beach Bar…or Sunday night and dance party at Circle Tav…or Monday morning at Sunset Pier…or all day Monday at 39th St. beach again…or Monday afternoon drinks at pool Dunhour?

+ When: Saturday, May 28, 2011, 3:00pm to 7:00pm
+ Who: Open to all; including riders, donors, their families and all other friends of the XBA
+ What will be provided: unlimited Yuengling (outdoor beer garden), unlimited Spank’s BBQ.

Memorial Day Monday remember to fly your flag at half-staff until noon:

“On Memorial Day the flag is raised briskly to the top of the staff and then solemnly lowered to the half-staff position, where it remains only until noon. It is then raised to full-staff for the remainder of the day.

The half-staff position remembers the more than one million men and women who gave their lives in service of their country. At noon their memory is raised by the living, who resolve not to let their sacrifice be in vain, but to rise up in their stead and continue the fight for liberty and justice for all.”
